The Top 5 Benefits of Dermaplaning

  1. Silky, Radiant Glow: Dermaplaning is a gentle exfoliation technique that removes dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz) from the surface of the skin. This stimulates cell turnover and reveals a brighter, more luminous complexion.

  2. Enhanced Product Absorption: One of the key benefits of dermaplaning is its ability to enhance the absorption of skincare products. With the outer layer of dead skin cells removed, your serums, moisturizers, and treatments can penetrate more deeply into the skin, maximizing their effectiveness and delivering visible results.

  3. Makeup Application: Dermaplaning creates a smooth, even canvas for makeup application, allowing your foundation, concealer, and other products to glide on seamlessly.

  4. Minimized Fine Lines and Scars: Over time, dermaplaning can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and acne scars by promoting collagen production and improving skin elasticity. With regular treatments, you can enjoy smoother, firmer skin.

  5. Suitable for Most Skin Types: Whether you have dry, oily, or combination skin, dermaplaning is a safe and effective treatment option for most skin types.

Our team is passionate about the impact of this treatment and treasures the opportunity to offer you a moment (or 60 minutes, to be exact!) of relaxation. With zero downtime, it's an ideal option to schedule before a significant occasion, or as a monthly regimen for sustained benefits.

Contraindications

  1. Active Acne: Individuals with active acne, particularly inflamed or cystic acne, may not be suitable candidates for dermaplaning.

  2. Skin Conditions such as Rosacea, Eczema, or Psoriasis: Those with reactive skin / certain skin conditions may experience increased redness, irritation, or discomfort during or after dermaplaning.

  3. History of Cold Sores or Keloid Scarring: Physical exfoliation can stimulate collagen production and trigger viral activation or keloid formation in predisposed individuals.

  4. Use of Certain Medications/Skincare: Individuals using Retinoids or taking medications or undergoing treatments that thin the skin or increase its sensitivity may not be suitable candidates for dermaplaning.
